Soldier life overseas

They fought on battlefields far from home, some of them never to return home or to the country they were fighting for. Our soldiers are being recognised for the struggles they went through and the sacrifices they made in the defence of Aotearoa and for the advancement of our land and people. For the first time we officially recognise Ngāi Tahu soldiers for their fierce bravery and their immense contribution.
